CASTELLO, Fabrizio (1562-1617). Battle of St. Quentin. 1590-1591. The spanish troops defeated the french of Henry II in 1557. Detail of the spanish camp and the tent of Philip II. In commemoration of this victory, the king ordered the construction of the monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Painting in the Hall of Battles (Sala de las Batallas). Renaissance art.
