Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895–1986), as a youth selected by the leaders of the Theosophical Society, an early 20the century religious cult, for grooming as their spiritual leader. He renounced the group in 1929, but continued public speaking, as shown in this 1932 photo taken in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
